In the past 24 hours, India has reported 11,458 fresh coronavirus cases and 386 deaths due to the Covid-19 infection, taking the country’s total tally to 308,993 and death toll to 8,884.

New Delhi, June 13:

Coronavirus cases in India crossed the 3 lakh mark on Saturday morning as the country has recorded its highest-ever 11,458 fresh Covid-19 infections in 24 hours.

With the fresh cases of 11,458 infections, India’s coronavirus tally has now climbed to 308,993.

According to the Union health ministry, India in the past 24 hours has reported 386 deaths due to the coronavirus, taking India’s Covid-19 death toll to 8,884.

The total number of coronavirus infections include 145,779 active cases, and 154,330 cured/discharged/migrated in the country, the health ministry said.

On Friday, India had breached the 10,000-mark when it recorded 10,956 fresh coronavirus infections pushing the country’s Covid-19 tally to 297,535.

India on Thursday went past the United Kingdom to become the fourth worst-hit nation by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Worldometer.
