Jammu, 20th of February, 2025 – The Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Jammu successfully conducted an offline Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) programme during Divya Kala Mela (DKM) held at Gulshan Ground, Jammu. The CRE programme, organised on 20th February 2025, in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) and the National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation (NDFDC).

This CRE programme focused on the theme “Capacity Building for Special Educators: Enhancing Skills in Disability Identification, Behavior Management, and Inclusive Teaching Strategies.” It aimed to equip special educators with the essential tools and knowledge required to effectively teach and support students with disabilities.

A total of six expert resource persons from CRC Jammu conducted in-depth sessions, covering a wide array of topics related to disability identification, behavior management techniques, and strategies for inclusive education. These sessions provided the attendees with valuable insights and practical strategies that will help them in their daily roles as special educators.

Shri Arun Kumar, Assistant General Manager of the National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation (NDFDC), provided information about the loan schemes of NDFDC. He mentioned that an exclusive Job fair for divyangjans (persons with disabilities) has been organized at the Divya Kala Mela held at Gulshan Ground, Jammu, on February 21, 2025. He also shared details about the Divya Kala Shakti program scheduled for February 24, 2025, and requested all participants to play a role in promoting and publicizing the Divya Kala Mela.
The event began with a warm welcome address, followed by an inaugural address delivered by the Director of CRC Jammu. Over 100 special educators actively participated in the sessions, engaging with the resource persons and gaining valuable knowledge from the discussions.
