Centre for Women’s Studies, GCW Parade organized one day workshop on 19th Nov., 2025 on “Yashoda AI (Your AI Sakhhi for shaping horizons with digital awareness) AI Squad: Building the next generation of AI leaders”jointly launched by National Commission for Women (NCW) and Future Shift Labs (FSL) under the patronship of the worthy Principal, Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo and overall supervision of Dr. Seema Malpotra, Convener of the CWS. Dr. Iesha Sharma extended a warm welcome address and invited the resource person, Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, presently working as faculty member, School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu and Vice Chairman, Indian Society for Training and Development, Chandigarh Chapter. The other resource person, Ms. Riya Sandal, Programme Associate at Future Shift Labs (Yashoda AI), was also invited to share her experience in the field. Dr. Shahid guided the students how innovations in technology from 1990’s onwards like introduction of mobiles and e-marketing platforms(Amazon, Apple, cash on delivery systems) have impacted everyone applying digital knowledge to real world challenges and use of AI tools. Yashoda AI Abhiyanis a pioneering national campaign dedicated to make Artificial Intelligence education accessible, inclusive and safe for women as well as disadvantaged groups across India. By bridging the digital divide YASHODA AI promotes responsible technology use, digital safety and ethical AI Literacy, enabling women to participate confidently and implicitly in a rapidly evolving tech-driven world. As India’s first large-scale gender-tech literacy model, YASHODA AI is not just teaching technology, it is building resilience, fostering equality and preparing women to lead in the AI-powered world.

The students from Science and Commerce stream participated in the workshop and got awareness about various AI tools, risks associated with their usage, mental ill effects of AI and measures to curb them for safeguarding themselves. After getting exposure of the AI world in the workshop, the students shall be able to apply their digital knowledge and reap its benefits in future. The principal appreciated the convener, Dr. Seema Malpotra, for putting her tireless efforts in organizing such informative programmes and all the committee members Dr. Usha Devi, Dr. Ramesh Chander, Prof. Sukhvinder Kaur and Prof. Komal Bangotra for their valuable contribution in the smooth conduct of the event. The event was culminated with the formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Pallavi Jamwal.
