Jammu, 25, June 2026: Under the ongoing ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’, a PCPG cum Drug Awareness Drive was held at Salehar village, Arnia with women participants.

The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of local women, acknowledging their pivotal role in building a drug-free society. It was attended by SP Hqrs and SHO Arnia.

Addressing the gathering, the SP Hqrs. emphasized that the fight against the drug menace begins at the Home. He urged the women to actively step into the role of “police at home” serving as the first line of defense against substance abuse.

The SP advised mothers and guardians to remain highly vigilant regarding sudden behavioral changes in their children—such as isolation, unexplained mood swings, or academic decline—which often serve as early indicators of drug addiction.

Highlighting the destructive impact of narcotics on families, the police urged the community to break the silence, stand united, and report suspicious activities or peddling networks immediately to the authorities via Dial 112 ERSS. The local residents appreciated the police outreach initiative, pledging their full cooperation to eradicate the menace and safeguard the future of the youth.
