SRINAGAR, Oct 08 : Member of Parliament for Anantnag–Rajouri constituency, Mian Altaf Ahmad, has expressed strong concern over the long-pending non-electrification of Hill Kaka village in Surankote, Poonch district. He called on the administration to expedite grid connectivity and basic infrastructure for the historical and remote border village.

In a statement issued, Mian Altaf said that the residents of Hill Kala village are suffering due to non availability of electricity. MP Mian Altaf highlighted the severe hardship faced by the residents of Hill Kaka, who remain deprived of electricity despite various government schemes aimed at universal power coverage. MP Mian Altaf took the matter with the Principal Secretary, PDD, Ashwini Kumar and urged him to take necessary measures to ensure electrification of Hill Kaka without further delay.” The Member of Parliament assured the public that the Principal Secretary, PDD, gave a positive assurance to review the situation promptly and take necessary steps on a priority basis. Mian Altaf emphasized that he will continue to monitor the progress closely until power infrastructure is fully installed and operational on the ground.
