Jammu, October 9: Jammu and Kashmir Strategic Swimming Association (J&KSSA) Chairman Mr. Simar Pratap Singh and Principal International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Jammu Ms. Randeep Wazir today flagged off a 13-member team for the third strategic swimming championship being held in New Delhi.
The flag off was done in the presence of J&K SSA president David Sandhu, General Secretary Kapil Gupta, Treasurer Ridham Anand, Executive Member Dr. Shwetambri Khajuria and coach Sofia.
The 13-member team of different age groups of J&K SSA will participate in the third strategic swimming championship from October 10 and 11 being organised by Strategic Swimming Federation of India (SSFI) at Aqua Fitness Association Swimming Pool, KV AGCR Karkadooma, Delhi.
On the occasion, J&KSSA distributed T-Shirts among the participants of the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Simar Pratap Singh said that this is a great opportunity for the swimmers to excel and bring laurels for Jammu and Kashmir. “The J&KSSA has been doing excellent work in promotion of swimming in Jammu and Kashmir and providing the swimmers an opportunity to learn, compete and win medals in various competitions. We will continue our support to budding swimmers so that they can represent the Union Territory (UT) as well as the country in the upcoming times,” he said.
Principal IDPS Jammu Ms. Randeep Wazir said that the J&KSSA in collaboration with IDPS Jammu always stands for the giving platform to sportspersons in general and swimmers in particular to train and compete at different levels.
J&K SSA President David Sandhu assured the swimmers of all kinds of support during the competition. He said that swimmers will be provided training at every level.
On the occasion, Managing Director Operations IDPS Jammu Dr. Suminder Singh Chugh, Director School Administration IDPS Jammu Ms. Madhu Abrol and others were also present.
