Jammu, June 17:
The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday announced that 19 departments will operate from Srinagar and 18 from Jammu in the amended Durbar move rules , while two other departments will function simultaneously from Jammu and Srinagar.
A government order issued today said that 19 departments, including Finance , General Administration, Public Works , Civil aviation, and tourism will operate from Srinagar , while 18 other departments, including home, housing, will function from Jammu. These orders have been issued for summer months.
The durbar will open in Srinagar for the 19 departments from July 6, and their work will stop in Jammu on June 26- last Friday of this month.
It is for the first time that the departments will be bifurcated between Jammu and Srinagar for the summer months .
Earlier, all the departments used to work from Srinagar during summer months and from Jammu during winters.
