DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Mohd Suleman Choudhary IPS conducted a day long visit to Pouni-Ransoo Area of district Reasi. Officer reviewed crime investigations of both Police Station Pouni and Ransoo & security review of Shiv Khori Shrine.
Shailender Singh SSP Reasi presented a detailed view of the area and briefed the officer about various issues of Police Stations.
DIG was briefed about progress crime investigation, Inquests proceedings, crime against women, action against drug peddlers, bovines smugglers and other complaints.
Progress & improvements achieved by Police Stations in tracing of missing persons, absconders, solving of theft and burglary cases and execution of court process & the processes adopted were also discussed threadbare.
The officer conducted security review of Shiv Khori Shrine also and directed that safety and security of Shrine and pilgrims visiting there should be the among the top priorities of the Police.
Choudhary expressed concerns about the militancy related activities in the adjoining district Rajouri and its spill over effects in the Pouni-Ransoo area, and directed the officers to remain vigilant & proactive on this front.
Officers were briefed to work with zeal & dedication to curb the menace of Bovine Smuggling, Narcotics and other crime & take special care about security of vital installations & religious places. They were also instructed to work for maintenance of communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in the area.
SSP assured for implementation of all instructions of the DIG on ground & also expressed gratitude for guidance and boosting the moral of the officers and jawans district police Reasi.
