Apni Party leaders express concern over the failure of the wildlife department to catch the maneater leopard in Uri
They Urge Admin to compensate the families of the victims

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, and Party’s District President Shoaib Lone have expressed their deep concern over the failure of the Department of Wildlife Protection to catch or kill the maneater wild animal that recently killed three minor children in north Kashmir’s Uri.
Pertinently, a gild child and two teenage boys from the Boniyar area of Uri were mauled to death by a maneater leopard during the past few days.
A statement from Apni Party reads: “The party leaders have expressed their concern over these incidents and urged the officials of Department of Wildlife Protection to ensure the maneater animal is captured or killed and so that no further human loss occurs in the area. They have said that the local people are living under a constant threat and a wave has gripped the whole area since these horrifying incidents occurred during the past few days.”
The leaders have also expressed their concern over the reports that suggest the lack of staff strength is making the Department of Wildlife Protection incapable to deal with the issue of man-animal conflicts in the Valley.
The Apni Party leaders have expressed their sympathies with the parents of the deceased children. They said, “nothing can compensate for the loss of these precious lives. We can only imagine the deep pain that the parents of these kids must be going through at this time. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families.” The Apni Party has also demanded compensation to the families of the victims.
