Expresses solidarity with victims of New Delhi, Nowgam PS blasts

JAMMU, NOV. 28: Apni Party President, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari on Friday has condemned divisive agenda adopted by some political parties, who have communalized merit based selections of MBBS students in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), Katra.

As per a press release, a meeting was chaired by the Party President in Jammu’s Apni Party Office, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari in which Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh, and senior leaders of the Province

The meeting held a threadbare discussion on the organizational structure, and issued directions for public outreach programs across Jammu Division.

During the meeting, the leaders also discussed the emerging political scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, while condemning the elements who are bent upon disturbing communal harmony.

Altaf Bukhari commended people for maintaining peace despite provocations, and repeated attempts to disturb harmony by invoking communal sentiments.

He condemned the political parties for communalising the MBBS admissions in SMVDIME, Katra although these admissions were purely made on merit based.

Meanwhile, he expressed serious concern over a blast near Lal Qila, New Delhi, and an explosion at Police Station Nowgam.

He expressed solidarity with the victims who have lost their lives in both of these incidents.

He extended support to the security forces for ensuring a safe and secure environment post-explosions, while urging that no innocent shall be harassed.

Besides, he also condemned the National Conference Govt for its failure to provide basic amenities and free electricity to the people in Jammu as well as Kashmir.

He said that the NC Govt has misled the people with false slogans to gain support, and later, it failed to deliver. Thus, the elected Govt misled the people.
