DGP J&K inspects parade,took salute and distributed Prizes

We have reached a stage where some more efforts are needed to end the terrorism in J&K completely and restore durable peace for people of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated by Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh while addressing the Passing out parade of 15th BRTC Batch of constables at Talwara, Reasi today. The parade was organised while observing all the Covid protocols and appropriate behaviour.
The passing out parade was held for 604 recruit constables who completed their basic training.
DGPJ&K who was chief guest on the occasion inspected the parade and took salute.
Special DG CID J&K, R.R. Swain, ADGsP S. J. M. Gillani, Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, Shri T. Namgyal, Mukesh Singh, M. K. Sinha, Shri Danesh Rana, Director ACB Anand Jain, Commander 14 Sector Brig Harjoot Singh, DIG UR range Mohd Sulaiman Choudhary,DC,Reasi Charandeep Singh and other senior officers of Civil, Police,and Army,relatives of the pass outs witnessed the parade.
At the very outset, the DGP, J&K congratulated the pass outs for completing the basic training and welcomed them in the JK Police Pariwar. He said that the passouts had the experience of field work even before completing their training as during the period their training was put on hold due to the COVID-19, they were deployed for enforcing lock down and other related tasks.He said that during the training our focus was on to enable the trainees to face any kind of challenge not only physically but mentally too and make them understand their responsibilities towards the service of the people and for the nation.
Dilbag Singh expressed confidence that the recruits would live up to the expectations of the nation. He impressed upon them to remember the oath throughout the service and work with honesty and dedication to come up to the expectations of people and the police organization adding that it will add more glory to the organization.
The DGP said that it is a memorable day for all pass outs to get into the service after completing hard days of training. He lauded the efforts put in by Principal STC Anil Katoch and his team of dedicated instructors/staff for moulding and shaping the passing out trainees.
The DGP said that Jammu and Kashmir Police alongwith the other security forces is fighting the Pak sponsored terrorism since over last three decades and added that he is proud of the fact that we have reached a stage where little more efforts are needed to end it completely and restore lasting peace for people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is changing for better and during the transition Jammu and Kashmir Police has a very important role to play. He said that every member of police pariwar has to act responsibly.
The DGP thanked Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha who have time and again acknowledged the work and sacrifices of JK Police. He thanked Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha for taking the important steps in strengthening the J&K Police organization. He said that the government of India understands the challenges which the J&K police is facing in different circumstances and is always kind to provide additional support so that this force touches more heights.
Referring to the welfare measures, the DGP said that a number of measures have been taken to benefit all ranks of J&K Police and added that around 100 crore of Rupees have been sanctioned from 2020 under different schemes for the families of martyrs, policemen injured in different incidents, for the treatment of Police personnel and their dependents, etc. He said that special relief of about Rupees two crore has been sanctioned for the police personnel who were affected with the COVID-19.
While speaking to the media, the DGP said that the security grid is being upgraded to curb the terror activities completely. He said that the number of terrorists have declined and added that efforts are on to bring it down further. He said that due to COVID the J&K Police was not in position to organize the sports events. He said that once the situation improves sports activities will be organized across J&K.
In his address, Principle STC Talwara, Anil Kumar Katoch welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries and thanked them for gracing the event. He threw light on the different training methods imparted to the trainees. He also spoke regarding the performance of the training center.
Worth to mention that among the passouts, Recruit Constable Sunil Kumar was declared all round best and also got first position in indoor.He was promoted on spot to next rank.Constable Rajinder Kumar who was the Parade Commander was declared 2nd all round best and also secured first position in outdoor, Constable Shubnam Sharma was declared 3rd all round best, Constable Abhishek Bassan achieved first position in Range classification.
