Jammu, 27 September 2025 – In a historic announcement during the General Meeting of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) held in Jammu, Bhisham Batra was officially declared as the new Vice President of AIPA by President Arvind Prabhu, in the presence of state Secretaries and Presidents from across the country.
A dynamic entrepreneur and visionary leader, Bhisham Batra has consistently been at the forefront of promoting pickleball in India.

His leadership was instrumental in bringing the 9th AIPA National Pickleball Championship to Jammu (26-28 September 2025), which saw the highest-ever participation in the tournament’s history with over 450 players representing 24+ states.
AIPA President Arvind Prabhu praised Batra’s appointment, recognizing his organizational drive and commitment to excellence.
“Bhisham’s dedication and energy will do wonders for the sport.
His ability to unite stakeholders and deliver world-class events has already been proven in Jammu. As Vice President, he will help strengthen India’s position on the global pickleball stage.
Batra is expected to spearhead efforts in expanding infrastructure, enhancing player opportunities, and ensuring that pickleball becomes a household sport in the years ahead.
