BJP president on Thursday appointed senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana as co-incharge of Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh.
Rana known for his affability and hands-on approach is ranked among most popular leaders in the region.
In a communique issued by BJP General Secretary Arun Singh , it was stated that party’s national Vice President Sodhan Singh will be incharge for the HP assembly polls, and Rana as co-incharge.
It is for the first time that a leader from Jammu and Kashmir has been given such a big responsibility in any of the state elections in the country.
BJP is ruling the state.
