SUCHETGARH, MAR 27: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh has asserted that Bharatiya Janata Party members being at the helm of affairs in the BDCs and other administrative affairs for so many years failed to do any development in the area and it is only due to his relentless efforts as DDC member that he has made unprecedented development possible in and around Suchetgarh.
Tony stated this at a function in connection with the commencement of development work in the area here today.
The senior AAP leader kick started development work of a tube-well at village Chakroi. In his address, Tony said that this tube-well will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 7.23 cr and on its completion the people of the area shall heave a sigh of relief as far as their drinking water problem is concerned.
Tony reiterated his commitment to provide basic amenities to the people. He lamented that it is ironic that people of this area had to wait for 12 long years for safe drinking water which the BJP leaders could not provide to them till date.
Tony said that after two years DDC elections, all round development is going on in full swing in Suchetgarh be it roads, power infra, upgradation of new power transformers at zero line, clean drinking water through pipes, Installation of new tube wells, new playground for youths,
Tony assured that a new tube-well and OHTs will also be installed in other places to address the problem of shortage of drinking water once for all. More schemes will come up in the new financial year, he added.
The senior AAP leader asked people of the area to support AAP in the upcoming polls for equitable and overall development of J&K.
