Jammu, March 4: “Slow driving is safe driving” is the mantra for longer life of professional drivers as well as people driving their private vehicles on any kind of road.
Keeping in mind before putting the pedal on the accelerator that family is waiting at home can save many lives on national highways and on other roads everywhere but especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
Everyone is aware of this fact but very few apply it in their lives.
But one such example came to the fore when a driver put the picture on his son at the speedometer of his vehicle at the speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour so that he doesn’t drive fast.
This picture is going viral on social media and many people are sharing it.
“This picture has the potential of making drivers aware about the hazards of rash and fast driving and many lives could be saved,” said Abdul Latief, a driver frequently travelling on Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
