Doda, December 29:
In first ever DDC elections held in Jammu and Kashmir, father-daughter duo, representing BJP, won from two seats of Doda district.
Yudhvir Singh Thakur and Jaya Rani won from Bhaderwah west and Bagwah seats respectively and gave the saffron party majority in the district to get the chairman post.
They took oath as DDC members yesterday and pledged to abide by the Constitution of the country.
One interesting thing which is coming out due to their is that Thakur has got the chance to claim the chairman post having two votes in his hand.
These elections have completed the three-tier Panchayat Raj institution and people are expected to get money to decide about their development and where the funds should be utilised.
