Srinagar, May 16: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar on Thursday evening on a two-day visit to review security situation and assess the latest plea of Jamaat-i- Islami seeking revocation of ban .The JeI has also promised to contest assembly elections if the ban on it is lifted.
Sources said that apart from from reviewing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir that facilitated participation of voters in record numbers in Srinagar constituency on May 13, Home Minister is expected to undertake an exercise on the developments in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
