New Delhi, July 14: ICJ President and co-author of Modi’s biography Dr. Adish C Aggarwala, while leading a delegation of Bar leaders and retired judges, will unfurl the national flag at Srinagar’s iconic Lal Chowk on August 4 to demonstrate to the international community that Kashmir has returned to normalcy after the Modi government’s patriotic and brave decision to scrap Article 370.
The event is being organized to mark completion of 4 years of scrapping of Article 370 from Indian Constitution.
Dr. Aggarwala will also address the gathering at Lal Chowk, which will include retired Chief Justices of India, retired Judges of Supreme Court, retired Chief Justices and retired Judges of different High Courts, office bearers of different Bar Councils and Bar Associations, law teachers and law students. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan will preside over the meeting.
“The abrogation of Article 370, from Jammu and Kashmir was not only wise but has also taken the wind out of Pakistan’s sails on the Kashmir issue despite Pakistan’s never-ending nefarious designs,” said Dr. Aggarwala, who is also Senior Advocate and President of Supreme Court Bar Association.
The delegation led by Dr. Aggarwala will be visiting Kashmir on August 4 and 5, 2023. During this visit, delegation will be visiting several public places including schools, colleges, hospitals, apart from Srinagar’s historic Lal Chowk where Dr. Aggarwala will be unfurling the national flag on August 4. This assumes significance as in his capacity of being the President of International Council of Jurists, London, the move will send a powerful signal to the international community that Jammu and Kashmir has become perfectly safe and normal after the Modi government’s historic decision of scrapping Article 370.
The delegation will also meet the Lt. Governor, Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir; Director General of Police, Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi, Northern Army Commander, Udhampur; GoC, Core Commander 15, Srinagar and AoC, Air Force, Srinagar
Besides, Dr. Aggarwala, who has been the Vice Chairman of Bar Council of India, will be addressing the teachers and students of Law Department of University of Srinagar.
Dr. Aggarwala is co-author (with renowned American author Ms. Elisabeth Horan) of book titled “Narendra Modi – Harbinger of Prosperity & Apostle of World Peace”. He is also co-author (with British author Ms. Sarah J Marchington) of book “Narendra Modi – A Charismatic & Visionary Statesman” Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the other book and signed the biographies
