‘3 Infiltrators Seen Falling Down Near LoC’

Srinagar, Jun 24 : An infiltration bid was foiled in Krishna-Ghati sector even as a soldier sustained gunshot wounds during the initial exchange of firefight, army officials said here on Saturday.
They told that on the basis of an intelligence input, the army alongside J&K Police foiled an infiltration bid on intervening Friday and Saturday night. “An army soldier suffered a gunshot wound during the initial exchange of firefight and was evacuated to a hospital”, they said.
“The infiltrators were engaged actively for some time and on trying to escape towards LoC, the infiltrators three in number were seen falling down near LoC”, they said.
