Srinagar, April 29: All the private schools of Jammu and Kashmir, affiliated with J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), have been directed to install boards in their schools with code and affiliating authority on it.
A JKBOSE official said that all private schools connected with JKBOSE are required to have signboards or school boards with the school’s name and connection with JKBOSE clearly displayed. So that parents and students are fully aware of the private schools affiliated with JKBOSE.
“The branches of the JKBOSE that are also functional across Kashmir will also have to submit action taken reports to the office of the Joint Secretary, General Kashmir Division,” an official said. He stated that if any private school fails to put these sign boards, they will face severe consequences.
In this regard, the Secretary of the JKBose issued a circular that reads, “Taking due cognizance of the matter related to the duping of the gullible masses by certain Private Academic Institutions affiliated with the J&K BOSE by resorting to the use of hoardings indicating them of imparting studies on the pattern or being affiliated to other Recognised Boards, when actually affiliated to J&K BOSE, instructions vide circular under reference, with regard to installation of signboards and School Boards clearly reflecting the name of their Institution with the “School Code” along with the name of the Affiliating Body as “The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education” in bold letters, were promulgated for adherence by all the concerned Affiliated Academic Institutions.
“However, in order to obtain first-hand information regarding the implementation of the said circular, it is enjoined upon all the Deputy/Assistant/Incharge Officers of the BOSE, Kashmir Division, that the action taken report, along with G.I. tagged photographic proof, be obtained from all the Affiliated Academic Institutions of their respective dominions, and the report thereof be submitted to the office of the Joint Secretary, General, Kashmir Division, within a period of seven working days positively,” the Circular said.
