Srinagar, August 6:
Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department today called the President, Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation and met them in his office chambers at Srinagar. The meeting was also attended by the Director Health Services, Jammu, Additional Secretary to Government and Under Secretary to Government, Health and Medical Education Department.
A threadbare discussion was held and the Chair has directed the Director Health Services, Jammu and officers of Health and Medical Education to resolve the issue of the employees on the priority basis. Further, the Chair has assured the federation that the recruitment rules for the various categories will be issued within 15 days. Moreover, the Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Medical Education have appreciated the work of Medical and Para Medical Staff working under the Directorate of Health Services during the Covid pandemic.
On behalf of Government JKMEF Jammu, the meeting was attended by Sh. Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF, Sh. Ch. Jarnail Singh, working president Jammu & Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association, Jammu and Sh. Sheikh Mehraj-ud-din, State President Jammu & Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association, Kashmir. After the assurance from the Administrative Department, the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation suspended the strike.
