Srinagar, October 21 : PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has been asked to vacate her Fairview residence on Gupkar Road which was allotted to her as Chief Minister in 2016.
Official sources said that since she ceased to be Chief Minister in 2018, she was not entitled to the accommodation.
There, however, was no reaction to this reported vacation notice served on her .
Fairview has a chequered history. It was a palatial building , but served various purposes during militancy. It became interrogation centre better known as Papa 2, former Chief Secrtary in 2000 moved into the building and it was rechristened as Fairview. Later it became residence of former deputy chief minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig . In November 2005, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his family moved into the building.
