Srinagar, February 18: The Lieutenant Governor administration is all set to show the door to corrupt and incompetent officers and officials and decision in this regard will be taken soon.

Sources told JK News Today that cases of many employees are under radar and the empowered committee has been reviewing their cases for some time.

The empowered committee was constituted under Article 226(2) of J&K conduct of service rules.

Many corrupt and inefficient employees have been axed or have been prematurely retired. Those who have been axed weren’t given any chance of presenting their cases. Recently, the government ordered the premature retirement of two officers while in past as well several employees have been terminated from their services.

Sources said that several employees including the top officials may be shown the door in the coming months as part of the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.

“There is no room for corruption in the present dispensation,” they said.
