Sohan Lal alongwith Bhushan Sharma, Kamal Singh, Abhi Singh, Jagdish Singh, Koshal Sharma, Jagtaar Singh, Vimal Sharma and Rakesh Kumar joined Apni Party through Anuj Manhas from Udhampur District.
Welcoming them into the Party, the former minister Manjit Singh said that “The DDC elections is a well come move but the elections for assembly should be held as early as possible so that an elected Govt can rule J&K.”
“Unemployment is increasing, degree holders are without jobs and common man is suffering because the administration often doesn’t listen to them and their issues always remain unaddressed,” said Manjit Singh.
He said that from development, drinking water to electricity supply everything has irked the people of Jammu division and there is no taker of their issues.
“The apprehensions about becoming landless in view of new land laws have grown in the Kandi belt of Jammu, Samba and Kathua. The poor families established themselves in the kandi belt where normally no one can live. Uprooting them from their land will be an injustice with the people,” said Manjit Singh.

The Apni Party’s Provincial President said “The jobs and land protected must be provided and the statehood be restored without further delay. The Apni Party does not support land laws in this present form.”
