Jammu becomes politically orphan because of BJP: Manjit Singh
JAMMU, November 08:
Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra said that the political parties have come together in People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) because their political survival was threatened.
“They have been exposed before the people for their double speech in Kashmir and Jammu. They speak differently in both the regions to divide people like BJP and garner support,” said Apni Party’s General Secretary Vikram Malhotra.
Malhotra suspected match fixing of the PAGD with the BJP and questioned that if their presence in Jammu has created division among the people then how come the BJP has allowed them knowing their fiery speeches.
“We want peace to be established in J&K. The regions should not be put to test again by these political parties who have exploited the people of both regions for their political gains,” said Malhotra. The senior Apni Party leader was speaking at a function organised by Shan Singh Soni at Gandhi Nagar office.
Over 16 people from Khour Block joined the Apni Party. They included Anil Singh Jasrotia, Er KD Singh, Dr Naresh Raina, Sanjay Goswami, Naresh Bakshi, Sanjeev Gupta, Kishori Lal Gupta, Ravinder Sharma, Balbir Singh, Vishal Singh, Vishal Gupta Ji, Karan Singh, Shanker Parshad, Rajan Mangotra, Harsh Kumar and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh welcomed them into the party fold and said that the people of Jammu have supported the party.
“The trust which the people in Jammu have shows that they were left politically orphaned by the leaders who claimed to be the champion of Jammu cause. The Jammu cause is a divisive agenda and we should stand against it. The discrimination which Jammu faced in last seventy years was due to such people. We want equal share in jobs and development. Apni Party is committed for the same,” said Manjit Singh.
He said that the party has a clear agenda to support the people and redress their grievances. “The divisive politics have left both the regions to suffer and the political leaders who play such politics enjoy good relations with each other by making people of two regions against each other.”
He appealed to the people who joined the party to carry forward the message of peace and development which has been adopted by the Apni Party.
He said that the Apni Party stands with the people of Jammu who have been deprived of everything. “We will not leave Jammu to suffer from the political misrepresentation,” he added.
The function was attended by Ex-MLA Ghulam Qadir Wani, SC State Coordinator Bodh Raj Bhagat, State Coordinator OBC Madan Lal Chalotra, Sohan Singh Soni, Vabhav Mattoo, Janmeet Singh Bali, Raj Kumar Lalotra, and Joginder Singh.
