Jammu, October 13, 2025: Indian Railways continues to demonstrate its commitment to passenger safety, trust, and excellent service.
On October 13, 2025, Mr. Adil Hussain, Ticket Sub-Inspector at Headquarters (Srinagar), demonstrated remarkable dedication by successfully recovering and returning a passenger’s lost bag on Train No. 26402 Vande Bharat Express, running from Srinagar Railway Station to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
A passenger travelling on seat number 42 in coach number C1 had accidentally left his bag in another coach. Upon discovering the missing bag, the distressed passenger immediately informed Mr. Adil Hussain, who was part of the ticket checking team on the train.
Acting immediately, Mr. Hussain launched a search and located the lost bag. After proper verification procedures, he ensured that the bag—containing a mobile phone and approximately ₹5,000 in cash—was safely returned to its rightful owner.
The passenger expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Hussain and Indian Railways for their prompt cooperation and honesty.
Appreciating this exemplary act, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, said:
