Speaking on the occasion, BJP leaders emphasized that supporting locally manufactured goods is essential for empowering artisans, weavers, and small entrepreneurs across Kashmir.
Shri Sat Sharma said such initiatives not only preserve Kashmir’s rich cultural and artisanal heritage but also create sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth. He urged people to actively choose locally made products and contribute to building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Altaf Thakur expressed gratitude for the gesture and said the Swadeshi Mela provides an important platform for showcasing traditional Kashmiri products, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial talent. He added that events like these help connect artisans directly with consumers while reinforcing pride in local production.
