Apni Party leaders express solidarity with the bereaved family and pray for the eternal peace for the departed soul

Srinagar, August 5: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday led a delegation of party leaders to visit the bereaved family of G. A. Peer, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and esteemed resident of Seer Hamdan in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. G. A. Peer, who served Jammu and Kashmir with distinction in various capacities — including as Commissioner Secretary — passed away on Sunday following a brief illness.

According to a press release issued here, “Apni Party senior leaders, led by Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, visited the Seer Hamdan residence of G. A. Peer and extended their condolences to his bereaved family.”

“The leaders met the bereaved family members, including the elder son of the deceased, Basarat Peer — a noted journalist and author — and extended their condolences. On this occasion, they prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul,” the press release added.

Besides Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, the prominent party leaders who were part of this condolence delegation included Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Additional General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, Chief Coordinator and District President Kulgam Abdul Majeed Paddar, Chief Spokesperson & State Secretary Muntazir Mohiudin, Mufti Sarwar, Constituency in-charge Shangus-Anantnag East Mk Yogi, Mir Imaad, and others.
