Jammu, December 14, 2025: Do you see any similarity between the terror attack at Bondi beach in Australia on Sunday- December 14, 2025 and that of Pahalgam in Kashmir, India, on April 22 the same year? These were terror attacks of a particular pattern in which the victims were targeted because of their faith.
In Pahalgam Hindu tourists were showered with bullets after terrorists had ascertained their faith . They were targeted while reveling in the beautiful meadow of Baisaran , far away from the maddening crowds feeling safe in every respect . At Bondi beach , Jews were targeted when they were enjoying the opening day of their festival Hanukkah.
This depicts a pattern that terrorists hate people enjoying their lives . They hate normalcy and peace . That is what guided them to exhibit their murderous brutality in Pahalgam , and now same sadistic-pleasure drawing psychology was deployed in Australia .
For terrorists , there are no boundaries and red line. They display their hatred driven violence all across . These hate-driven acts of terror are not new , but a new pattern is emerging where ideological hatred is becoming more pronounced.
There is only one answer to these murders: show no mercy to the terrorists and breeders of the psyche of violence as a source of settling scores. It underscores the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of zero –tolerance to terrorism.
When Pahalgam happened , world leaders condemned the massacre and showed extraordinary sense of solidarity with the bereaved families. The enormity of the massacre had shocked the world. The number of the victims were horrifying . The reasons for the massacre were macabre .
India had to respond , and it did by undertaking military action under Operation Sindoor This was one of the most demonstrative act to reinforce the Indian leadership’s zero tolerance toward terrorism . The words were translated into action, destroying terror assets of Pakistan. Operation Sindoor was India’s action where no ifs and buts were applied. This is the template for assault on cross-border terrorism with a messaging the subversive elements within.
Today , too, Prime Minister Modi, based his anti-terrorism policy in his social media post on X while condemning the terror attack in Australia . The crux was zero tolerance toward terrorism , something that he has been telling the world time and again .
He said : “ ( I) strongly condemn the ghastly terrorist attack carried out today at Bondi Beach, Australia , targeting people celebrating the first day of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah . On behalf of the people of India , I extend my sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones . We stand in solidarity with the people of Australia in this hour of grief. India has zero tolerance towards terrorism and supports the fight against all forms and manifestations of terrorism.”
Devilish psychology , camouflaged as ideological war fare and fight against supposed injustice , was behind the massacre of 1200 Israelis by Hamas on October 7, 2023 . That psyche comes out to replay itself time and again . The festivities and holidaying by the peace-loving people are hated by these evil-minded terrorists . They seek to defend and extend their faith by murdering people of other faiths . Not only that, these terrorists have any respect for human lives in market places, restaurants, legislative institutions and iconic places.
A unified approach is needed to combat this menace. No country is safe from these acts of terrorism . There are epicenters of terrorism in the world, a stern action is needed against them. Mere lip service will not do. They will have to adopt Modi’s zero tolerance toward terrorism doctrine . The terror act in Australia today has shown that how relevant and important this messaging is . The world needs to unite against terrorism.
