Baramullah, Nov. 02: Two absconders wanted under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) were arrested in Baramulla district after evading arrest for five years. The accused, Owais Farooq and Ahsan Fayaz Leilu from Old Town Baramulla, were nabbed by a team from R S Pura Police Station, Jammu. An FIR had been registered against them in 2020 under IPC and UAPA provisions, and a Section 299 CrPC warrant was issued due to their long absence. Acting on intelligence inputs, police conducted multiple raids leading to their capture. Both have been sent to District Jail Amphalla, Jammu, under judicial custody
