Jammu, February 12  Jammu and Kashmir Government has refused to offer any immediate  comments  on the Supreme Court staying  FIR against Major Aditya  and others  in  Shopian firing  in which three protestors were killed  on January 27 .

Government spokesperson and  PWD Minister Naeem Akhtar  told media that there is nothing to say except that the “ Supreme Court is the highest interpreter of the law.”

Akhtar refused to comment whether the state government will contest the stay granted by the Supreme Court  on FIR  registered against army .

He, however, charged a section of media with spreading hatred and demoralizing army, while evading a question that the state government was protecting stone pelters.
