After a lull, National Conference on Thursday launched an aggressive legal and political campaign for restoration of Article 370 that was scrapped on August 5, 2019.
The premier party of Kashmir that had secured semi- sovereign status for Jammu and Kashmir, today gathered lawyers to chart a course for the campaign to make people aware of how it was traversing way ahead on the issue.
“ We have sought to respond to unending questions as to what we are doing to keep the issue alive, while Supreme Court will take its own time to deliver verdict to petitions pending in the court,” said Sara Hayat Shah , a highly articulate spokesperson of National Conference.
She said: “ Our case is strong because the facts and Constitution is on our side.
NC has taken this step to blunt the criticism that it was not doing enough for the issue, which it had described as an article of faith for itself.”
