RIYADH: At least 12 people have been killed and 309 others injured in an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, local authorities have said.

According to the Saudi civil aviation authority, the fatalities included four Saudi nationals, two Bangladeshi nationals, and one citizen each from the United States, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan and Egypt.

Following the attack, operations at King Khalid International Airport have been suspended.
