Jammu, Oct 20, 2022 : The students of M.Sc. 3rd semester, Department of Environmental Sciences, Central University of Jammu collected ‘Waste paper’ from different departments of University and recycled the waste paper into ‘ greeting cards’ and presented it to the Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain on the occasion of Deepawali. This innovative initiative of the students of Environmental sciences batch 2021-2023 in creating beautiful handmade cards was highly appreciated by the Honourable Vice Chancellor or the University. More than hundred such hand- made cards were presented to the Vice- Chancellor for the onward distribution to the faculty members of the university on the auspicious occasion of Deepavali. In this event faculty members Prof. Sunil Dhar, Head of the Department, Prof. Deepak Pathania, Dr. Richa Kothari, Dr. Anita Singh and Dr. Dinesh Kumar were present. The faculty reiterated that this kind of activity will be undertaken by students in much bigger way to spread awareness about the ecofriendly use of waste papers for sustainable earth.
