New Delhi, November 03 The government of India in a notification on Thursday has included Paharis living across J&K UT in the list of scheduled tribes , as a sequel to promise made to them by the government of India.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah , during his rallies in Rajouri and Baramulla on October 4-5, had declared that Paharis will be granted ST status.
MoS in PMO Jitendra Singh tweeted and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for granting this status.
