Srinagar, March 3: After attaching property of one of the most wanted militant Mushtaq Latram, National Investigation Agency (NIA) today attached property of Hizbul Mujahiddin commander Basit Reshi of Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Reshi is a resident of Yemberzalwari Shiva Dangerpora area of Sopore, falling in Baramulla district.

According to NIA Reshi is currently operating from Pakistan and has been involved in several terror activities in Kashmir valley including attack on police post at Tujar Shareef on August 18, 2015 killing police personnel and a civilian.

Before fleeing to Pakistan, Reshi was involved in several militant activities including luring youth into militancy.

NIA’s action followed by the Ministry of Home Affairs order of designating Reshi as terrorist under unlawful Activities Prevention Act. This act is aimed at putting an end to terror acts.

For past some time, NIA has attached properties of several militants in Kashmir valley and in Chenab valley of Jammu and Kashmir.
