Ghordi , May 11 : DDC member Ghordi , Rakesh Chander Sharma (Bodhi) along with PRI members , XeN Jal Shakti Udhampur, Jal Shakti officials and others laid foundation stone for Jal Jeevan Mission works in three panchayats of block Ghordi.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Bodhi said , “ We’ve to ensure that every household in rural India has access to safe and adequate drinking water. Water is a basic necessity of life, and access to clean and safe drinking water is must. But unfortunately, a large number of our fellow citizens in rural areas still lack access to this basic necessity. The Jal Jeevan Mission aims to change this reality by providing piped water supply to every household in rural India”.
Moreover he said that , “ It’s for the first time that 730 families in three distinct panchayats – Hartaryan, Upper Barmeen and Lower Barmeen of block Ghordi shall have access to tap water and it’s all possible because of PM Narendra Modi’s vision and commitment towards rural areas”.
Furthermore , he said , “ In total 1213 families will be benefitted under this scheme as 483 existing connections will be renovated”.
