Jammu June 20: Election of Jammu Kashmir Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) was held today in which Iftikhar Hussain Dar was elected as the J&K UT President and Ranjit Parihar as Sr Vice president while Sudershan Singh was elected as State General Secretary.

Out of total 43 votes poll today State president Iftkar Hussian got 25 votes while his rival T.N Pandita got 18 votes. State general Secy Sudershan Singh got 30 votes while his rival Mohd Shaffi got 16 votes . Senior vice president Ranjit Parihar got 27 votes defeating his rival who got 16 votes. However vice president Ajaz Dar got 27 votes as his rival got 16 votes . Organiser Zahor jan Mir got 21 votes aginst his rival who got 19 votes . Meanwhile Anchal Rakwal was elected unopposed as Publicity secretary .

The Election was held under the supervision of two independent chief election commissioners Bilal Ahmed Retd (CAO) from Srinagar and Mangat Ram Parihar Chief Administrative officer Principal Distt & Session court Jammu at District court Complex Srinagar . Six observers had been appointed for conducting smooth polls from both provinces were Mohd Akbar Mir , Azaj Ahmed Wafai , M.Alias Pandita, Mirza nazir Ali , Mohd Sultan and Mohd Amin MIR

Provincial president Kashmir Khursheed Ahmed Trali and Puran Singh from Jammu province were also present along with all the office bearers and members of both the provincial bodies who participated in the election.

Speaking on the occasion newly elected body thanked the voters and Judicial members for keeping faith upon them and assured that they will turn no stone un turn to mitigate the problems of judicial employees by taking their genuine issues with High Court of J&K .

They also appeal judicial employees those who supported them or opposed in Todays election to be unite and work together as team member for the genuine cause of Judicial fraternity in future.
