On Thursday, the J&K Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, unanimously passed the resolution urging the Union Government to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood in its original form. The restoration is seen as the start of a healing process, aimed at reclaiming the constitutional rights and protecting the identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Cabinet has authorized the Chief Minister to take up the matter with the Prime Minister and the Government of India for swift action.
