Jammu, September 21: MHAC School Nagbani, Jammu, today celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji with a solemn yet vibrant ceremony that combined reverence, culture, and a spirit of unity.

The occasion was graced by Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Spokesperson BJP J&K, who attended as the Chief Guest, along with Rajan Singh Happy, former President Yuva Rajput Sabha, as Guest of Honour. The dignitaries were accorded a traditional welcome, reflecting the values of respect and hospitality deeply rooted in Dogra culture.

The programme commenced with floral tributes at the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, followed by a sacred Hawan at the Yagyashala, which added a spiritual dimension to the celebrations.

In his address, Zorawar Singh Jamwal reflected on the visionary leadership of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, lauding his far-reaching reforms and enduring contributions to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the Maharaja’s historic decisions in the fields of education, social justice, and women empowerment, noting that policies introduced during his reign laid the foundation for a progressive society. He further emphasized that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s ideals of justice for all, service to humanity, and commitment to equality remain as relevant today as they were during his lifetime. Zorawar Singh Jamwal urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the Maharaja’s life and work tirelessly to uphold the Dogra legacy with pride and responsibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajan Singh Happy highlighted Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s unwavering commitment to justice, education, and equality. He emphasized that the Maharaja’s progressive vision continues to inspire the younger generations and urged students to uphold his ideals of unity and service to society.

The Principal MHAC School, Nagbani Ms. Sonia Anand in her address thanked Chief Guest and the other dignitaries for their kind presence and time. She also reiterated the Maharaja’s vision and mission of offering the people of the region top notch education with Vedic values. She highlighted Maharaja’s liberal vision that was much ahead of times and felt indebted for his ideas and ideals of female education ban against dowry, remarriage and compulsory Primary Education. Remembering Capt. Dewan Singh Ji. The ADC of Maharaja and the former manager of the school, the Principal mentioned about his loyalty and his service towards the people until his last breath.

The event was a perfect blend of historical reverence, cultural pride, and educational values, leaving the gathering inspired by Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s timeless ideals.
