Jammu, Nov. 15: In a major breakthrough, Jammu Police have arrested two individuals and recovered over 3 kg of heroin during a late-night patrol in the Gandhi Nagar area. Officials said that SHO Gandhi Nagar and SDPO Gandhi Nagar, who were on routine rounds a day before yesterday, noticed suspicious movement and immediately intercepted the suspects.

Upon search, police recovered more than 3 kilograms of heroin from their possession. A case has been registered, and both accused have been taken into custody.

Initial investigation suggests that the consignment has links to Pakistan and Punjab, indicating a larger interstate-cross-border narcotics network. Police have launched further investigation to identify the remaining members of the supply chain.
Senior officers have termed the recovery a significant success in the fight against drug trafficking in the Jammu region.
