New Delhi, Dec. 3: Jammu & Kashmir BJP spokesperson Zorawar Singh Jamwal today met Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh in New Delhi to discuss the prevailing political scenario in the Union Territory and to deliberate on key developmental initiatives underway across various sectors.

The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots outreach and accelerating central projects in J&K.

Zorawar Singh Jamwal briefed the Union Minister—who holds charge of several crucial portfolios including the Ministry of Science & Technology and MoS in the Prime Minister’s Office—on recent political developments, public sentiment at the ground level, and the organisational activities of the BJP across the region. He highlighted the increasing expectations from the administration, and the need for continued engagement with local communities to consolidate brotherhood and progress.

Underscoring the importance of sustained administrative and socio-economic reforms, Zorawar Singh Jamwal emphasised that proactive communication between the party leadership, public representatives, and government officials is essential to address concerns related to governance, development, and welfare schemes.
On the developmental front, Zorawar and Dr. Singh discussed ongoing projects in sectors such as road connectivity, healthcare, tourism, and industry. Zorawar Singh Jamwal appreciated the Central Government’s focus on bringing transformative changes to J&K, citing major initiatives like improved highway networks, the expansion of railway connectivity, and new opportunities emerging from industrial investment policies.

Dr. Jitendra Singh reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to fast-tracking development in the Union Territory and ensuring that welfare schemes reach beneficiaries without delays. He stressed that the government remains dedicated to empowering local communities, promoting entrepreneurship, and enhancing infrastructure in remote and rural regions. The Minister also encouraged party functionaries to maintain close contact with citizens to ensure transparency and accountability in service delivery.
