Public Welfare is Apni Party’s Exclusive Agenda: Abdul Majeed Padder, Mohammed Ashraf Mir seeks public support to fight drug addiction menace in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Apni Party’s General Secretary, Rafi Ahmed Mir today said that the holding of dialogue with the young generation is imperative to sustainable peace, and equitable development in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We need to engage the young generation in meaningful dialogue to address their issues for a peaceful atmosphere,” said Mir, addressing a provincial meeting in Srinagar.
Chairing the meeting, he said that the party leaders, and workers should hold regular door to door campaigns, and educate them about the policy and agenda of the party that wish to unite the two regions, and provide equal opportunity to every section of society, while ensuring equitable development in all the regions without bias.
He said that how the people in Kashmir have suffered because of the political neglect and the younger generation shall be brought closer by holding dialogue with them.
“Without their participation, it is not possible to ensure peace as well as development,” he said, pointing towards the recent incidents of harassment to the Kashmiri people working outside in various states of the country.
He demanded action against the people, who harass the Kashmir youth, working across the country to earn bread and butter for their respective family members.
Meanwhile, Chief Coordinator and DP Kulgam Abdul Majeed Padder, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir also raised alarm about the increasing drug addiction and its adverse impact on the society.
“It’s a time when every section of society comes together and fights against the drug addiction menace that has multiplied criminal activities. We shall unitedly protect the future of our generation by putting them on right track,” Mir added.
He also asked the party leaders and workers to intensify their public outreach program and highlight the public issues.
