@rajnathsingh, today accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) worth Rs. 3.60 lakh crore, for key capability enhancements across the Defence Forces. For the IAF, approvals include MRFA (Rafale), Combat Missiles and AS-HAPS to strengthen air dominance, deep strike and persistent ISR, with majority manufacturing in India. The Army will procure Vibhav Anti-Tank Mines and undertake overhaul of T-72s, BMP-II and ARVs to enhance operational readiness. The Navy’s approvals cover 04 MW Marine Gas Turbine Power Generators (Make-I) and additional P-8I aircraft to boost maritime strike and anti-submarine warfare capabilities, while the Coast Guard will induct EO/IR systems for Dornier aircraft for strengthening maritime surveillance.”
