Jammu, April 21 , 2026: The Government of India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has announced new transfers and postings of forest officers in the AGMUT cadre. At the DCF level, Satyaprakash Singh has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, while Sandeep Dwivajyoti Behera has been moved from Andaman & Nicobar to Jammu & Kashmir. Amit Gemawat will continue his posting in Delhi for another year, and Atharva Tiwari has been shifted from Jammu & Kashmir to Delhi.

At the senior level, Kamal Preet, an APCCF officer, has been transferred from Mizoram to Jammu & Kashmir. The ministry has instructed all officers to join their new places of posting immediately and submit their joining reports without delay.

In a separate but related decision, the ministry has abolished three temporary APCCF posts in Jammu & Kashmir with effect from December 2025. This decision follows earlier extensions of these posts and has now been approved by the competent authority.
