Jammu: President of the Young Blood Association (YBA) Dr. Satwant Singh Rissam in collaboration with Harvinder Singh Chairman S.E.W.A. (Sikh Empathy & Welfare Association) organized a blood donation camp at Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu to promote voluntary blood donation and community service. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and the need to support patients in emergencies.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Anil Padha, Chairman YBA and carried the message, “Donate Blood, Save Lives.” The chief guest on the occasion was the Vijaylaxmi Datta, Senior Leader of Jammu Kashmir National Conference and special guest on the occasion was Jagpal Singh Member, DGPC. Vijaylaxmi Datta said the drive encouraged citizens, youth, and social workers to come forward for this noble cause.
Dr. Satwant Singh Rissam also expressed gratitude to all donors and volunteers for their valuable contribution and participation in the humanitarian effort. The organizers had set a target of 50 plus donors for the camp, and the response reflected the spirit of service and humanity for which Jammu is known. This initiative was supported by Ranjit Tohra DGPC President and DGPC Member Jagpal Singh who also highlighted the constant need for blood in hospitals and emergency care.
