JAMMU, June 21: Jammu Club celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and participation, bringing together esteemed Members and dedicated employees of the Club in a spirit of health, wellness, and harmony.
The event was organized under the guidance of Ramesh Kumar (IAS), Vice President and Divisional Commissioner Jammu, and the Managing Committee of Jammu Club led by Secretary Gaurav Gupta.
This year’s celebration was centered around the global theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting the vital role of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, emotional balance, and an active lifestyle across all age groups.
The programme commenced in the morning amidst the serene surroundings of the Club premises. Participants enthusiastically performed various Yoga Asanas, Pranayama exercises, and meditation techniques under the expert guidance of renowned Yoga Instructor Anu Mahajan.

In his message, while away on prior commitments, Secretary Gaurav Gupta emphasized the timeless relevance of yoga, stating, “Yoga is one of India’s greatest gifts to the world. It is a holistic way of life that nurtures physical health, mental clarity, emotional balance, and inner peace. The theme ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’ serves as a reminder that regular practice of yoga enables individuals to lead healthier, more active, and fulfilling lives at every stage of life.”
The event also featured interactive sessions where participants shared their experiences and highlighted the positive impact yoga has had on their overall well-being. The celebration concluded with a collective meditation session, fostering a sense of unity, mindfulness, and positivity among all attendees.
