along with a Long Range Patrol (LRP) from Gala to Thorni, covering the villages of Miyari, Juthal, and Amb.
As part of the enhanced security measures in view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations, Jammu Police conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) along with a Long Range Patrol (LRP) under the jurisdiction of Police Post Chowki Choura
from Gala to Thorni, covering the villages of Miyari, Juthal, and Amb.
The operation was carried out with the active participation of Village Defence Guard (VDG) members, reflecting the strong coordination between the police and local community in maintaining peace and security.
During the operation, the area was thoroughly searched, and no suspicious person or incriminating material was found. The operation was conducted peacefully and concluded successfully.
At Thorni village, the police team also interacted with local residents and urged them to remain vigilant and promptly share any information regarding suspicious persons, activities, or objects with the nearest police station or police authorities. The importance of community participation in ensuring a safe and secure environment ahead of Independence Day was emphasized.
