Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, along with other senior party leaders, warmly welcomed the new members into the party fold
Srinagar, August 8: Amid the continued influx of new members into Apni Party, a large number of social and political activists and workers today joined the party at a special event organised at the party headquarters in Srinagar.
Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, and other senior leaders, warmly welcomed the new members and assured them that they would be provided ample opportunities to serve the people in their respective areas.
Addressing the gathering, Apni Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmed Mir welcomed the new entrants and expressed his pleasure at seeing a large number of young people from Srinagar city joining the party.
He said, “Srinagar is the heart of Kashmir, and it gives me immense pleasure to see people, especially the youth, joining us. I wholeheartedly welcome each one of you and look forward to your active participation in our efforts to serve the people.”
Rafi Ahmed Mir further said, “I am sure that your joining will further strengthen the party’s presence in Srinagar city and add new energy and dynamism to our efforts to serve the people.”
Welcoming new members, party’s Provincial President Mohammed Ashraf Mir said, “I warmly welcome all of you to Apni Party. Together, we will work to overcome these challenges and create better opportunities for our youth.”
Expressing his concern over the problems that youth are facing in J&K, he said that the traditional political parties have failed to address the problems of youth.
He said, “Our youth are facing a number of serious challenges, and unfortunately, the traditional political parties have failed to adequately address their concerns over the years.”
He went on to say, “Today, our young people are grappling with a lack of employment opportunities and are struggling to find their rightful place in society. They are also not being given adequate opportunities to participate in politics and contribute to the decision-making process”
Speaking on occasion, the party’s District President Srinagar Zaffer Habib welcomed the new members.
He said, “Apni Party is committed to serving the people, protecting their rights, and working towards a brighter and more prosperous future for all. From today onwards, you are an integral part of the party. As you work to serve the people and address their concerns, you can rest assured that the party leadership will always stand firmly by your side, like a rock, whenever you need our support.”
Speaking on the occasion Senior Leader Syed Mohammad Akhoon welcomed the new members and shared his experience.
He said, “After spending decades in the National Conference, I came to realise that a leader or a worker has very little say in that traditional political party. You cannot speak your mind or be straightforward, because the leadership does not appreciate or encourage such openness. That is the reason why I eventually decided to part ways after serving the party for several decades.”
He further said, “However, I believe Apni Party has a very different political culture. Here, both leaders and workers are respected and given due importance. Everyone is encouraged to contribute, express their views, and work for the welfare of the people.”
“This is largely because the party is led by a great personality, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, who has a clear mission to serve the people and work for their welfare. Apni Party does not belong to any particular family or dynasty; it belongs to the people and is committed to providing a platform where everyone can contribute to public service,” Akhoon added.
