Directs time-bound action on public issues

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 16: Taking administration to the doorstep of the people and facilitating direct interaction between residents and officers, Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, today convened a public grievances redressal camp at Seri Pura Panchayat in Block Sangaldan.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to the grievances and demands of local residents and resolved most of the issues on the spot, while issuing directions for time-bound action on matters requiring further intervention by the concerned departments.
The DC was accompanied by PO ICDS Abdul Qayoom, SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed, CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, ACD Imran Naik and other senior officers of the District Administration.
Responding to the demands of residents from various Panchyats like Seri Pura, Thatharka, Bolni, Chachawah, Suranda, Famnote and Mhakund regarding poor road conditions, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineers of PMGSY and R&B to initiate immediate repairs of potholes and damaged road surfaces.
On the demand for construction of borewells and completion of the ongoing borewell project at Gamiri, the DC directed Jal Shakti Department engineers to expedite the ongoing work, examine suitable locations for additional borewells and prepare the necessary Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for further consideration.
Regarding power supply issues, the Deputy Commissioner directed JPDCL engineers to provide an electric pole and transformer for Magre Mohalla, as per the identified requirements, and start the work immediately to strengthen the power infrastructure in the area.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Health Department to ensure weekly visits of an ambulance along with Doctor, Paramedical Staff and essential medicines, to Seri Pura and adjoining areas. The initiative is aimed at facilitating medical check-ups and access to medicines without requiring residents to travel to distant hospitals.
He also issued directions on issues pertaining to Education, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Social Welfare, FCS&CA and Youth Services and Sports departments. The DC stated that urgent developmental works would be explored for inclusion under the additional plan of VB-GRAMG Ramban, subject to approval.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Airtel and Jio teams to visit the highlighted locations, conduct surveys and take necessary measures for improving mobile connectivity within the stipulated time frame.
He also directed the AD FCS&CA to organise a special camp for resolving eligible ration card grievances and ensuring timely redressal of ration-related issues.
Addressing concerns regarding the Sawalkote Project, the DC assured residents that employment opportunities for locals would be facilitated as per applicable provisions.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the CAO and CHO to ensure the availability of seeds at a suitable local sale or distribution point in Thatharka during the seed season.
He further directed the Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry departments to organise a joint awareness camp during September to educate residents about government schemes, livelihood opportunities and welfare benefits. He also directed them to depute an employee along with essential medicines to Thatharka twice a week for providing veterinary assistance to local residents.
The Deputy Commissioner assured people that all genuine demands would be resolved in a timely manner.
